Sony vg30 build in stabilisation
I was talking on the phone earlier today with a sony vg30 owner, he claimed that his vg30 has inbuild stabilization, meaning that if you would put a unstabilized lens on it, like a samyang 85mm, the vg30 body would still stabilize the image internally.
I find that hard to believe, is that the case? |

Re: Sony vg30 build in stabilisation
None of the Sony e-mount devices offer in body stabilization -- whether the low priced mirrorless system still cam or the higher end pro large single sensor video cam you are obliged to use a lens with optical stabilization if that is what you're after. Most Sony e-mount lenses have OSS built in.

Re: Sony vg30 build in stabilisation
Thx for the confirmation, my first guess was right then, if that was the case I would have gotten the camera yesterday :)

Re: Sony vg30 build in stabilisation
I concur, it only works if the lens has it. Still a great camera though, mystery to me why the whole world doesn't have one!
