I think it is still only Windows based.

Is this a flaw in the camera, or am I importing the video improperly?
Additional info. If you ever have to bring in clips off a card because you have to recycle cards make sure you COPY THE ENTIRE 'PRIVATE' FOLDER STUCTURE to your hard drive. You will then have to use Sony's 'Content Management Utility' to bring in these files for joining. Just navigate to the 'Private' folder structure on your drive and import. SONY VEGAS DEVICE EXPLORER CANNOT DO THIS FROM THE HARD DRIVE.

In place of Vegas you can also use Sony's 'Content Browser' to bring footage in from the camera or a card reader but again NOT FROM A HARD DRIVE.

Content Management Utility is the only software I have found that can import and stitch together AVCHD files directly from a hard drive but on the proviso that the entire PRIVATE folder is there. If I have numerous cards I just create a set of numbered job name folders and drop each cards' Private folder into its own job name folder. The Content Management Utility program should be on the CD that came with your camera. From memory the camera has to be connected for installation to take place.
