new NEX-5/3/C3/VG10 firmware in mid-december
Sony Japan confirmed that there will be a new NEX-5/3/C3/VG10 firmware in mid-december. It will bring the support for the new LA-EA2 adapter. But I do hope there will be also other major new features and improvements coming along the update.
A good time to update the VG20 if Sony is going to do so.

Im hoping the update "will" include the VG20. ...........do you have URL for the announcement from Sony?

It is unlikely that older cameras will have new features, other than the ability to use the new A-mount. However mid December is the expected delivery date for the VG-20 in Canada, when it was supposed to be November originally. They could be holding back until the firmware is retooled. BTW the published specs are the same here.
