Nex-5n
"Unlike most non-professional camcord-ers, NEX-5N offers more control overcamera settings, giving you the abilityto carefully craft each scene for maximum impact. With P/A/S/M modes, you can precisely adjust exposureand control defocus, two importantcreative tools that are typically performed automatically with camcorders. You can also use Creative Style and Photo Creativity to emphasize mood o rcompletely transform the look of you rmovies. In addition, new Tracking Focus automatically keeps the subject in focus, even when moving."
Looks very good for the low price and ergonomics. However, a quick look through the manual has a footnote that says Focus Assist is available only with A-mount lenses. "You cannot use [MF Assist] with the following functions: –Movie recording AND You cannot use [Remote Cdr.] with the following functions: –Movie recording TBD what's valid.

Re: Nex-5n
Steve - any idea how much of that will translate to the VG20? All of it? None?

Re: Nex-5n
I think the VG20 has everything needed for video --including the new A-mount adaptor.
