on the fly gain control

So assuming that the nex 50 will never be good enough in low light even with a fast lens to actually need to iris down at 0 gain indoors. Does anyone know if theres a way to just leave your lens wide open and use the gain control as iris? I know you can set up the 3 levels low medium and high I mean more of a way to assign gain to the iris wheel or the menu wheel?

Re: on the fly gain control

it's a "requested feature", but the camera does not have it. :(
