White Balance Shifting!
Can someone please help me out. Recently I have noticed that in certain lighting changes my white balance, which yes has been set manually, shifts! This is driving me crazy. What am i missing here? as you can see the skin tones match, outfit is off a bit and blacks are certainly different. First one, blacks seem to have a greenish highlight (I hate green, green is the enemy!) and second reddish highlight.... this is easy to fix in post, yes but i would like to solve this problem.. There must be a setting that I am missing. As far as i know, all settings are manual with the exception for knee, that was set to auto.... Perhaps that is where my problem lies?
FYI - I keep knee to auto because I was getting strong skin highlights when I set to manual.... To better elaborate, the issue really isn't with matching as I have a third camera that I walk around with to shoot crowds and other angles of the subject. I can really see the white balance jumping around when, ambient lights are fluorescent subject lights are tungsten soft lights ... Thanks in advance! JC |

Re: White Balance Shifting!
I know "knee" is a setting in the picture profile settings to prevent overexposure so not sure how that relates to whitebalance? If you see the WB change something has to be on auto. Could you maybe post a picture taken from your lcd screen so we could see what the camera is doing?
