XLR Plug-IN Box for EA-50
Hi Guys
I have situations at Church Weddings where I have one transmitter/mic on the groom and a second on the lectern where they do the readings from. That all works fine but obviously the lectern one only gets used for a short time during the service so I end up struggling switching XLR plugs so I can switch back to the on-camera mic for general ambience and also when the priest is right up front. (they won't wear a mic here!) I made myself a little "plug in" which allows me to insert it into Channel 2 on the camera and then plug both the 2nd receiver XLR and the on-camera mic into the box so I can then use a simple switch to cross back and forth from the on-cam mic and the lectern mic. Works very well and there are no extra cables as the male XLR plug is fixed in the plastic box. Chris |

Interesting set-up! But does it not achieve the same if you just use the switch on the side of the camera between internal mike and external channel 2?
Or does it mean you can use 3 xlr connected mics now? |

Re: XLR Plug-IN Box for EA-50
Hi Noa
I'm switching between 2 transmitters in the Church and then the on-camera shotgun mic that plugs into Channel 2 normally ...So I have the groom in channel one and then the adapter in channel two and I can switch between the second transmitter on the lectern and the shotgun mic on the camera with a flick of a switch.
