Time-lapse/interval recording
Is it possible to create time-lapse clips with the EA50 using interval record? My Panasonics allow the shooting of one frame per second, or ten seconds up to several minutes.
Nothing in the manual or on here to suggest it's possible. I'm documenting a construction project and wanted to give it a try. |

Re: Time-lapse/interval recording
Here are some links to companies that provide a solution that in essence creates time lapse thru the cameras IR(infrared)remote control.
redNEX - Video & Photo Remote Control for your NEX camera Gentles Limited: Wizard Camcorder Timelapse Here's an example on vimeo of setting the camera to record 3fps in photo mode to do a timelapse of toronto at night: Looking forward to seeing some examples of timelapse in response to this post, I know I will be posting some videos when time permits. Cheers!! |

Re: Time-lapse/interval recording
Thought I might bump this up and see if anyone has used one of these IR remotes?
I'd love to be able to use my EA50 for time-lapses. Has anyone found any other methods to make it possible? |

Re: Time-lapse/interval recording
Hi Jody
Since posting I have seen dozens of apps for Android devices claiming to offer time lapse functions for Sony NEX cameras. I had some success last year with Nikon apps, so will give the Sony compatible versions a try soon: Cathedral Square time-lapse film | Peterborough Video Production Company Martyn |

edit: I tried a few different apps and none seem to work. Cool concept though.. |
