ISO vs Gain?
Coming from HDV cameras with 3 CCD's, i found it interesting that there is an option on the EA50 to use either ISO or Gain to boost exposure.
Can someone here tell me the advantages of using ISO instead of Gain? What do you prefer? Are there certain instances that i will find ISO an advantage over Gain? Your thoughts are very much appreciated. JC |

Re: ISO vs Gain?
Iso and gain are the same, iso only is a term from photocamera's and gain for videocamera's, if you are used to working with dslr's for video then iso will be most familiar. It's just a matter of preference.
I prefer iso as there are more smaller increments in adding electronic gain. |
