SONY Z7 Date and time recorded on, no way to remove it
Shooting with the Z7 The date and time was recorded on footage, there's no way to remove it right? Other then cropping in post.

Right. It's not metadata, it's actually burned into the picture if you used DATE REC.
Some people report success using effects in post to sort of blur it so it's not too noticeable. This is all assuming it really was recorded with DATE REC on, and is not just displaying CAM DATA DISPLAY on playback. (But with the Z7 I think that's all data and it doesn't give you a choice for just date and time.)

Yes, it was recorded burned in, I didn't notice it while shooting because they were rented cameras and when I've used them before they never had anything burned in, so I didn't think anything of it at the time.

I made that mistake once on a wide shot of a dance recital. I used a region filter and blured and feathered it, not perfect but didn't get any complaints. Good luck.

I know we all know this, but quiet time spent as checking time (especially with unfamiliar hired kit) is time very well spent indeed.

Some time back I downloaded a prog via the "Give Away of the day" site called "Remove Logo Now" I`ve never tried to use it as I havn`t had any justification but it might just do the trick, might be worth a try!
