Adjusting gain controll with the iris ring
I just got my Z7 and learning to use it. One feature I can't find is being able to adjust the gain using the iris ring (my FX1000 has it). Am I missing something or is there another way to make the adjustments without using the gain switch. I love being able to make small adjustments while I am shooting.
Thanks for the help. |

Adjusting Gain
Check to make sure you have both the auto/manual switch in manual and that you have the iris switch set to manual on the right siderright on the hand grip and then you should be able to use the iris ring to adjust the exposure.

I can adjust the aperture, but on my FX1000 I can also adjust the gain. When you get to F1.6 you can continue adjust the gain without hitting any other buttons by using the iris ring. I was hoping to do the same thing with the Z7.

Adjusting Gain
Ok, I see what you're asking. I don't believe you can do that with the Z7. The gain is set with the 3 way switch (with each level being adjusted in the menu), so no continuous gain adjustment AFAIK.
