Audio too hot
When i import to final cut pro the z7 camera audio is always 6 to 12db too hot .Should i adjust camera recording levels down 12db? My audio is never distorted just too hot.

Does the Z7 come with a trim adjustment? On the Z5 I trim the audio to -6db. I shoot in loud venues and that helps.

if you're using the oncamera mic to capture audio and it's coming to you hot why wouldn't you adjust at the camera to lower the levels so it doesn't clip? Seems pretty logical to me. If you're pulling a feed from a mixer then the adjustment needs to come at the mixer. The better the sound coming in to the camera the better the sound will be in the finished product.
