CF wont work when connect to Macpro
Hey Guys
I connected my CF to its dock connected the battery opened up Final cut opened up log & transfer and turned it on nothing not even an icon on the desktop what's going on Rob Last edited by Robert Bec; December 8th, 2008 at 11:48 PM. |

Have you downloaded the plug in from Sony?

Yup mine has never worked so I use clipwrap!
It also wont work with the firewire reader I have.

Mine has never worked either, I just use a card reader.

thats nice to know i am not the only one with the problem i wonder why this issue has not been resolved

I have spent lots of e-mails and phone calls with sony support and all that came back was that it was working Ok at their end so that is it!

Think I got mine from this one -

I hope you've got it to work, but I'd highly highly highly HIGHLY recommend buying a Lexar FW 800 reader.
Lexar - Flash memory card readers - Pro CF Reader it was night & day for transfering. |

CF readers
I use the SanDisk Firewire 800 CF reader. In general card reader is better since it is less likely to have a power interruption (since it gets its power via the computer link). CF cards don't handle power interruptions during transfer very well. It is not unusual for them to become unusable if this occurs (and anything that was on them is lost).
