Z7 shots just for fun
Edradour Distilery on Vimeo
I recently went to scotland for a holiday and took the Z7 along: The video above was shot in available light with autofocus on with no tape and just a transcend 16gb card on board. The clips were then transcoded in clipwrap and edited in final cut studio 2. The final was outputted in compressor using pro res 422 and then compressed for desktop web playback in quicktime. One thing I cant understand is that even though compressor says the clip will be 16x9 it seems to come out anamorphic, hence the stretched screen. Sorry I cant upload in HD as we only have 500k broadband here in the countryside. P.S. I own a pub so its a tough life researching the products we sell!!!

Hey Gary, on your moon video (can't find the thread here) how did you achieve the time lapse over the course of several hours? Or did you just speed up the final footage?

The moon shot was done in real time!
Yup real time, when you zoom in that much the orbit of the moon comes into play! The camera was locked off on a manfrotto 503 tripod:http://www.vimeo.com/1034579
