Z7U Expander Focus
Do you know if using the Expander Focus to zoom in beyond the normal maximum zoom affects the resolution or if there are any hits in quality?

The expanded focus in the viewfinders, you mean? This only zooms into the image so that you can assess focus more clearly, it doesn't alter the actual image being recorded.
If you mean going into the digital zoom area when you've reached the end of the optical zoom, then yes, you'll degrade the image quality - more zoom, more degradation. tom. |

I think there are about four zooms, all made by Fuji, with just one wide angle!
Come on Canon , get your act together.
