HVR-Z7 SD Footage
We added a Z7 to inventory last week. Iain Eggleton from Performance Car TV
http://www.performancecar.co.nz/pctv...ormance-car-tv covers the local street mod racing scene (think home grown Fast and the Furious) The camera arrived late last week and Iain grabbed it to see how the CF unit would fit in with his FCP workflow. PCTV usually shoot SD on the Sony Z1 or V1. They have no requirement for HD and need the 16:9 capability for broadcast. Iain was kind enough to give us his raw footage for us to do a rough cut for upload given the scarcity of any Z7 footage available. Cut on a 17" Macbook Pro. Camera is at factory defaults with no adjustments and the video has not been graded or altered in post. 270MB file www.dvinfo.net/media/sony/z7test2.mov Thanks to Chris for hosting! Thanks for putting up this footage.
I was curious, would you happen to know some more of the specs this footage was shot at? 1080i or 1080p, 60i, 30p, 24p downconverted onto the CF as SD-DV? Or, was the camera set to record SD? Thanks again, JA |

Camera was set to 16:9 DVCAM and CF to avi record. SD Interlaced PAL production. Red 8GB CF card was used for record :)
