Thanks for providing your perspective. I look forward to the review of your footage. I have a PD 170 (and recently sold my DSR 390) and I want to be able to provide HD when the requests begin. And at least, downconvert HD to SD in the meantime since so many people have stated that HD to SD looks better than originally taped SD.

I've just discovered that the price for Z7's locally have been at about $5800.00 for several weeks if not since they arrived. I've been going by BH Photo as the benchmark and they have just dropped their price to $5600.00 That price makes the upgrade quite a bit more desirable. I wonder if the lowered price of the Z7 will affect the price of the Z1 ($4k).
