Accessories for the Z7 used for wildlife
Hi all,
I am new to video. Got my Z7 about a week ago and hoping to use it for wildlife filmmaking. I consider getting the Nikon 80-200 f-2.8 35mm still lens as I need the reach. I own a nice Miller tripod and the Vinten vision 3 fluid head. What else do I need to get in order to get started and where to get it from? I know I will need support system for the camera+lens combo, fine focusing device, mattebox etc - every piece of information will save me time, money and pain.... Thanks! You're thinking video but what about the audio? What about a Digital Audio Recorder (which you can place close to the sound of the birds etc.)...you'll be way too far away to get decent sound on camera. Numerous options as a quick search in the All Things Audio section will show. Maybe a Fostex FR2-LE with a decent stereo mic?.... or maybe the new Sony DCM-P50 with it's built in mics?
