Can I use the Z5 with FCP 5.1.4 ?
H there, can anyone tell me if the sony z5 is compatible with FCP 5.1.4 ,since apple decided to abandon all of its customers and move to the intel chip my G5 is a bit of a paper weight these days. I have a job coming up and need to know that if I hire the Z5 I will be able to capture the footage.
Any info would be appreciated. Andy.

If you are using the Z5 to capture to tape then yes, you can, but you need to capture direct from the camera.
If you are using the Z5 with the MRC1K compact flash recorder then you will need ClipWrap from divergentmedia.com to rewrap the MRC1K's M2T files to be recognised by FCP. |
