Will the FX1000 play tapes shot on the Sony VZU?
I shot tapes on the Sony Z1U at 24p. Just wondering if the FX1000 will play them so I can capture. Also, curious if they'll play footage shot on the JVC HD100? I've been unable to play these on Canon HV-30s.
Thanks. |

Re: Will the FX1000 play tapes shot on the Sony VZU?
The Z1 doesn't do any form of progressive. It's strictly 60i. So yes, those tapes should play fine on the FX1000. If you mean the V1, that's 30p or 24p over 60i, the same way the FX1000 does "progressive," so it should play back as well. There isn't a VZU.
JVC speaks a different HDV language than Sony and Canon. The Z1 or V1 or FX1000 will play it back (720/30p only) but not via Firewire, only analog.
