Z5 and MRC1 dislikes
Sometimes when running tape and the MRC1 you button off and on again quickly and the camera goes into "standing by" before the red record comes on. The MRC sometimes seems to take forever to start recording, especially if you need to capture a scene "now". Very rarely will both start together - very frustrating.

Re: Z5 and MRC1 dislikes
I believe the MRC needs time to finish writing the previous file and clearing its cache before it can begin writing a new one. But you can turn CACHE RECORD to ON and capture the few seconds before you've pushed the REC button.
But the obvious solution is just to keep the cam running. Rapid start/stops are always problematic. -- even a normal tape cam needs time to spin up, even in STBY mode. It's never truly instantaneous.
