Rain cover

curiously what is the best rain cover for a fx 1000? Plan to hand shoot action shots as well as tripod stuff.

I looked at the Kata cr 15. I used a kata in the past with a gl2, was looking for something better.

interestingly enough i just bought the kata - after using one on my previous v1.

i shopped around for alternatives, petrol, etc., but they're all pretty much of a sameness - though they're are some remarkably (badly made) cheap ones around too....

I'm a Porta Brace fan. Use them on all my cams.

i agree that portabrace make the best camera protection of any of them - but for the odd (and i mean odd!) shower i have to shoot in down here $65au was more than enough to pay ;p)

I bought the Kata for my Z5 specifically because the Petrol cover I had for my previous V1 was so awkward and fiddly to fit to the camera. The Kata is virtually a one-move operation to swipe it over the camera and it's done. And, there's plenty of space left to actually get your hands in to operate the controls, which wasn't the case with the Petrol cover. On the other hand, I like Petrol bags :-)

Regards
Dave
