Help - need to record onto MRC1 from Z5
Hi...
I would like to take what I have recorded to tape on my Z5 and have it transferred over to the MRC1. Essentially, I would like to place the Z5 into VTR mode... hit Play, and record everything to the Compact Flash. How do I do this? The manual is very confusing. The reason you ask? Because I can't get my iMac to recognize the Z5. It can read the CF card no problem. Thanks for any and all help. -Steven |

OK.. figured it out...
It works as you would think it would work....
I put the Z5 into VTR mode... hit PLAY.. and then hit the RECORD on the MRC1... Of course it is good to know that you have to press RECORD and the button next to it at the same time to place the MRC into RECORD mode. RTFM... *smile* |

and if you recorded in HDV mode, make sure the firewire out put is configured correctly to output HDV, otherwise you will end up with a downconverted SD footage.
