tape/capture question -fx1000
hello i had a sony vx2100 and i recently got a fx1000 ,i was wondering when i need to capture a tape from the vx do have to change any settings on the fx1000 ,or does it automatically detect the frame rate?

There is not any issue that I know of about recognising any frame rate. Why do you think it would be a problem? Your NLE project has settings to accomodate the applicable frame rate.

Wait... are you talking about using the VX to capture tape you shot on the FX? If you shoot in HDV (and you should), then you can't. The VX won't read HDV.
If you shot in DV mode on the FX, then you could capture on the VX. In any event, the frame rates are always the same -- both cams shoot 60i and only 60i (although the FX can shoot 30p and 24p, it's written to tape as 60i).
