Matching the FX1000 with Panasonic HMC 150
I'm looking at a used HMC 150. It's being sold cheaply and I just hate to pass it up.
Anyway, if you've used this camera alongside the FX1000/Z5 I'm interested to know how footage from the two work together. My primary application for the cam will be weddings. |

You might try posting that same question in the panny forum Jeff.

Thanks Tim, you're suggestion is spot on, of course. I was trying to avoid double posting....but if I don't hear something soon I might have to reach out in the Panny forum.

Hi Jeff,
I made a post on the Panny board about matching an HMC150 to a Z5. Here is the link. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/panasonic...c150-sony.html While I have not shot a wedding with the FX1000 and an HMC150 I have shot a wedding with a Z1, FX1 and HMC150. The HMC150 was going to be a a fourth unmanned camera, but my second Z1 went down, So here is the run down. HMC150 became my primary camera (front cam for ceremony and primary cam for reception). I used the FX1 for prep and fisheye shots at reception. Z1 for girls prep, back camera and secondary at reception. At that time I did not have the info on matching a Panny to a Sony. I don't think they mismatched too badly and then if you used the suggestions at the link, they would probably look even better. Here is the highlight from that wedding. Allow a few seconds to load.
