Sony HDR FX1000 + 35mm Lens Adapter...Worth it?

I shoot in HD on the Sony HDR FX1000, does anyone have this same setup and also use a 35mm lens adapter? If so, is it worth it? how much of a difference does it make? and how much would you be willing to spend on an adapter?
