Z5 and phantom power
Does the XLR microphone inputs of the Z5 provide phantom power to the microphones?

Thanks Jeff
That's cool! I couldn't find anything in the operating instructions. Do you have then the option of switching it on and off? What happens if you use microphones that do not need phantom power as they might have a battery for that? Stelios

Yes, you can switch the phantom power on and off. I keep a single cell in my K6/ME66 module just in case I use it off camera, but when connected XLR then phantom is alwys the way to go (and switch the K6 off).
