Yes Ken you are right because the MRC1 consumes 2.2W and if you take the Z5 that consumes about 7W this reduces the battery life about 30%.

pics of MRC1

Anyone know of any links that show close up pics of the MRC1.

I have a FX1000 and assume I can only record to it via firewire?

Does it also have analogue in?

Martin, the only input is the large 6 pin firewire.

I received my lenmar batteries yesterday and everything seems to work so far, no warnings.
Heres the model number, lis970p if anyone is interested.

Paid 60$ each and I think its a good price since im in canada and the price for one is 199$.
