Z5 With 24p?
Hi guys, I have been looking to but a Z5, but was wondering somethings.... I have Final Cut Pro and was wondering if I would have any problems shooting 24p with my Z5 then importing, editing, and exporting my final 24p movie. Can some of you guys list the steps for shooting the editing true 24p footage. My cousin has an HV30 and we shot some stuff in 24p then put it in Final Cut Express. But our true mistake was the fact that FCE dose not support 24p. Will I have any problems like this with my Z5 in Final Cut PRO? Thanks guys.

Michael,
HVR-Z5U has three modes for 24p shooting: -24p scan and 24pA scan: scanned @ 24p then recorded as 60i using 2-3 pull-down -24p Native recording :scanned @24p then recorded as 24p For details: http://www.sony.ca/hdv/files/white/H...ve_Primer.pdf\ FCP can edit "24pA" or "24p Native" footage in 24p project setting. For 24pA, the HDV/60i signal is converted to Apple ProRes422/24p codec. |
