Why is the time code not counting when I record?
Hi,
While I record on my new Z5U the time code says 00:00:00:00 the whole time. Why is it not counting? Thanks |

Are you sure you're seeing the colons? You're sure it's not reading 00 00 00 00 instead of 00:00:00:00?

Thanks Adam I found out the issue.
Their is a button under the LCD monitor called TC/U-Bit. I must of had it on U-Bit, (whatever that is?) Thanks. |

U-Bit is to let you manually add info to the tape for whatever purpose you like. You could come up with a naming scheme that let's you know what you tape you have. Check this thread out:
