Japanese FX1: Is it posible to change language to english?
Hi guys.
I just bought an FX1 from Japan. The only problem I encountered was that surprisingly there's no english at the language selection menu. Does anyone knows if there's any way to make the camera work in english? Maybe trough a firmware upgrade or something.. any thoughts on that? Cheers guys. PP |

Nope. you've got a "J" version, and Sony did this specifically to keep black/grey market sales down. Warranty for a "J" is limited to Japanese owners, etc. Same with the V1U (United States), V1P (Pacific region) etc.

I would either sell it or buy a second (English) Fx1 and learn where everything is and what it means. (I'm always looking for excuses to buy more gear!)
