Sony ECM-NV1 mic on FX1
Hi! Is this mic the one they use for the PD150 or 170 compatible with the FX1 assuming that I have the Beachteck XLR Adapter? Do you think this will work?

It should work as long as your Beachtek box provides phantom power. I have used this mike on my Z1 with the built-in XLR's and it worked fine.

Thanks Boyd, the Beachteck im using was designed for the FX1, and it requires a 9 volt battery to use it...is that the phantom power your refering to?

Thanks for the link, I have the DXA-FX and it did'nt mention anything about phantom power.

Unfortunately it appears that this adaptor won't do it for you. The NV1 requires phantom power. According to the manual posted online:
