Linear Editing for SDEs
What really interests me now is SDEs and linear editing. My FX1s are computers in their own right, and I want to learn how to maximize them for SDEs -- without a computer. I want to run sound separately and use video alone as a 'video slideshow' of sorts, while the dj plays a predetermined song.
What I've found is that I *can* record footage from Cam B to the tape in Cam A through an SVideo connection. The problem is that it has to run through the process of starting to play, wherein I see a momentary blue screen. Obviously this is unacceptable for a slide show, but I really don't want to buy a switcher. Thoughts? |

Have you tried connecting with a firewire cable instead of SVideo?
