Water (not underwater!) housing for FX1?
Is there such a thing as a water-tight housing for the FX1--or something I can make?
I'm shooting at the ocean and from boats and the camera may fall in by accident. Doesn't need top go underwater (no water pressure) but needs to keep things dry for the ten seconds until I grab the cam... I saw a bag on B&H for $500 but that seemed high for a bag... Alternatively, I saw a Sony Underwater Housing for their handycams for about $200--maybe something exists for the new CMOS small Sonys? --Darin |

maybe you should just get a rain slick. Then figure out some way to attach the camera to you so if you drop it it's not going anywhere. I think that might be a bit more practical. Unless you're going to be on crab boats or something where you're getting pounded by 15 foot waves or something, then housing might be a bit more useful.
