SONY HDR FX1E...Shoe Adaptor.
The little bit that attaches mic's etc. Is anyone in the UK willing to tell me where to get one of these on their own? My camera never came with one!

I think you're better off buying a non-Sony part, though it won't be the same as the shoe adapter.

Kind of steep on my opinion, but it's a solution. |

If yours never came with one, give Sony a ring, complain complain and complain. If you dont get what you paid for, and they dont want to help you, call back the next day, ask for someone higher up, then complain and complain and complain some more.
My cammy didnt come with AV cables once... It just had a plastic pack with a torn hole through it (someone on the production line must have pocketed it.) I called up Sony, told them my problem, and when support couldnt/wouldnt help me, I went to the Sony Central store I called up, with box in hand, and then asked for the cable and did not leave until I either got the cable, or assurance I was going to get it. The thing I love about living in Australia is the power of the Fair Trading Department. Every claim not settled properly by the big corporations has the potential to lose a lot of money in fines. It might seem like chump change to them, but the consumer does not lose out either way.
