Actually, if you mounted a close focusing macro and then a 35mm adapter in front of that, is it possible we would have a better 35mm affect ?

Better than the built-in lens of the FX1 ? I would seriously appreciate a constant-aperture zoom lens. I'm always on the verge of underexposure when shooting indoor action sports, and losing more light for those occasional zooms isn't appreciated.

That is exactly what I think Sony should do with the Z1u/FX1. Who wouldn’t want a hand held camcorder with a removable lens. As long as the weight isn’t heavier then the Z1u/FX1, it will become very popular.

I am saying macro lens wouldn't require all the extra lenses you have to attach to allow the FX1 to close focus on the Ground glass. It would have to be better for that purpose.

Two things about this matter:

1) Many months ago, when the Z1 had not been released yet, there were some articles on an Italian enthusiast who took out the Zeiss lens and put another lens on the FX1. Nikon, if I am not wrong.

2) A friend of mine told me that Sony has plans for a low priced camera that will have replaceable lenses. Mentioned by a Sony executive himself. Don't ask me more because that's all I know.

Here is the original FX1 mod:

Never heard of them again. Anyone knows of other similar mods?
