Sparklers in the dark
I have a sparklers in the dark tonight, I was thinking of putting my little page light on my camera to help with capturing it. Any tips ? I'll probably be using my Z1, although I do have a canon Gl2

I think I'd be tempted to leave the pag light off, and film by the light of the sparklers alone. They're invariably hand-held so there's light on the faces that you'll be filming.
The Z1 is pretty good in the gain-up mode as well, and of course you can experiment with kids 'writing their names' if you lock the camera off on a tripood and select 1/3 sec shutter speed. tom. |

Het Tom, the settings worked out fine, but I did get myself into a little bit of a spot. There was no line so I tried/actually had little choice but to get in the middle of the action. Needless to say, I didn't catch on fire, but it got interesting at some points.
Thanks again.
