Shooting scene with plasma screen in shot.

When I shoot a scene with a plasma monitor as a main part of the shot using our HVR-Z1U, we get strange color shifting on the plasma in camera and on the recording. The screen cycle-shifts from a green-ish to a orange-ish hue and back again. We got rid of the shifting by throwing on the ND1 filter, but it makes the shot dark. Is there another remedy?
