FX1 mic(plug in power)... plug-in power? same as phantom power?
I'm making cables to hook my XLR mic to the stereo input of FX1. Since xlr mics are mono. I want to solder the tip and ring of 1/8" connector together to have a twin mono (left and right channel) then I saw the "plug-in power" Does the camera have somethng like phantom power? so connecting the tip and ring of 1/8" connector together can possible short-circuit the FX1?

My recommedation is bougth (Radio Shack) a strong cable "Plug to Canon" and a converter plug-miniplug. Use a plastic clamp for support the cable over the camera |
