Anybody have a source for protective covers for the XLR inputs on the Z1U?

Thanks

You're kidding me? =O

They are just 2 plastic cups as small as your finger nail. They better pick up radio if they cost that much.

Lowes, Home Depot, Hardware stores and electrical supply houses carry all kinds of caps to cover things with. I'm glad you brought this up. I'm going to check those places tomorrow. If they do have something, I'm sure the are not going to cost $100!!

Someone could make an absolute killing selling plastic XLR caps at a reasonable price. Think about how many people would have a use for them.

I'm not sure if this is what you wanted, but on the panasonic parts site, it's listed at $12 http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/epartr/ part# VJF1468

http://www.markertek.com has a couple of really cheap options you could mod for your purposes. I did a search using the string: XLR cover and found "XLR Sealing Covers for Neutrik D Series Female" part #SCDF-BK for $0.72 ea. You could cut off the extra piece made to attach it to the jack very cleanly as it is a semi-pliable plastic material. You'll see what I mean. Buy a few extra at this price and you're in business and who cares if you lose a couple here and there.
