Cover for your fx1/z1
What are you guys using to protect your fx1/z1 against elements like dust, dirt, and most of all because where I live the most unforgiving element "salt water spray".

Since I have no money to buy those over prices rain covers and underwater housings... I often come prepared with several garbage bags with the pull ties that close the bag off without having to tie it manually.... I put the camera in with the lens hood sticking out, close off the bag tight - I sometimes use rubber bands so the bag doesnt come loose
since the garbage bag is much bigger than a prosumer camera, you can shape it so you can still out your hands through the strap etc... I stometimes cut small holes so I can have access to the LDC and viewfinder and tape door, and tripod. Then attaching rubber bands to seal off the loose ends. Its a very cheap way of protecting your camera, but I only recomend it for one-off shoots. If you are conmstantly in hazzard zones, then I suggest getting the basic rain covers and housings etc... |
