Hi Antony,
I'm using the Rode NTG2 mic on the Z1 but I've had to make the barrel a little wider on the mic to be able to fit on the Z1 mic adapter with a bit of plastic tubing. The Z1 manual says 'you must use the recommended Sony mic' but the Rode is a fine mic and it's Australian too! I've used Rode mics for nearly 10 years now and they are by far the best value for money. Get the deadcat as an extra, you'll need it. I got mine from Dolphin Music here in the UK. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/?keywo...ufacturer_id=0 |

- Fold-out LCD shade - Power options (Power Take Off? ;) ) - Century Optics Wide & Tele - Matte Boxes - Shoulder brace (NOT the sony one) - Bebob LANC controller (works great with Z1) - IIRC, a solution to make a Z1 work 'kinda like' a studio camera (with tally, return video, comms) Other bits too. The website isn't very helpful, though: http://www.prokit.co.uk |
