Fx1 - USA or grey market?
A local guy has a new FX1 sealed in the box, for sale. He claims it's a USA model, and not a grey market import. Is there a way to tell for sure?

I know I may sound crazy, but why not shoot this question at Sony.

Thanks , Steven.
I caleed Sony (www.sonystyle.com) and they said that as long as it has the sony sticker on the label,it's a US model. They also said they can't check the serial number ( claim they don't have a database for that....yeah, sure). Bruce S. Yarock |

Lol, oh yeah, and they don't keep track of cd piracy either........give me a break. I'm glad you didn't swallow that one. :} I bet they ask for that serial when you need a repair or replacement.

The guy(?) in customer service did call me "sir" about every 6 seconds...I guess I should feel good about that.
