QR-PD170 Gold Mount Battery
Anyone ever put this on their camera, its made by Aunton Bauer to mount a brick battery on the camera, I was wondering if anyone used it, if its worth it? Does it mount on the back of the camera or on the bottom. No info seems to be on the net.

this particular mount has the ac connector for the camera, and NOT
the battery blank. I called Anton since I wanted to use this for my Z1, and they custom made me one of these with the faux battery, with the powertap for an ultralight. Cost $250, but well worth it. |

I also don't think it is for the NP1 brick but for the Dionic90 or Hytron 50 either of which will power a PD170 for hours and hours and hours plus you can use a light with a power tap on it (AB Ultralight or similar)
It is an External Battery pouch which means the power line runs to the camera and the battery mount and battery fit into a pouch that is seperate from the camera-I think it attaches to your belt QRPDHDV Pouch-Style Battery Plate - for Sony FX-1 and Z1-U Camcorders Mfr Catalog # QRPDHDV (will also work with the PD170) Don |

I run a Hytron 50 on my belt with my Z1 and it's fantastic.
