Sample Z1/FX1 Footage?
We're planning to go to NAB and our main objective is to decide on what HDV format to use, what camera to buy then buy it!
We are leaning towards the Z1 right now so I was wondering if anyone has posted some raw Z1 clips any where. I'd like to download them and play with them in FCP5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There have been plenty posted, but unfortunately they're so big they tend not to survive very long! ISPs often get a bit upset about sites that have terabytes of downloads in a month :).

Hi Mark,
I realize that and I have a .Mac account. Someone could put the file in my Public folder if they would be so kind.

I have compressed Z1 footage at http://underthebridge.mumps.ca, although I'm not sure if it's of that much use to you.

I've mentioned it in some other threads, but it's probably worth mentioning again here. It looks like you can put clips up at video.google.com without any serious restrictions (and free).

Hello Dave and others,
I've uploaded some raw footage I've shot last summer in Almonte, Ontario. Footage for a documentary about a artist. It's shot with a rented Z1. I've used the 50i mode 'cause I'm in a PAL country. I've used the Cineframe 25 mode. Just 2 footage files to see a bit of the camera, I hope they're useful to you! Oh, and by the way, the zipped file is 360 MB. www.vincentrozenberg.com/files/Z1.zip |

Oh, and by the way, I've captured it with Final Cut Pro, so you can play it back perfectly with it.

Vincent - Are these the captured source M2T files, or are they compressed with another codec?

Captured with Final Cut Pro, so basically native Mpg/HDV files in a Quicktime environment.
