Where to buy FX1 ? big difference in prices
Hello,
I want to buy FX1 , it' listed on Sony website for $3799 , BestBuy sells for $3699 , bhphotovideo for $3200 , priceritephoto sells for $2749 and there are some places that sell for $1800. Can someone explain to me why there is this big difference in the prices ? When they sell for cheaper then on Sony website, does that mean the package doesn't include everything ? not all accessories are included or what ? Thanks |

Most electronic products can be bought at significant discounts from the manufacturer's suggested list price, which in this case is $3799. But at some point you have to be suspicious about excessive discounts, which as the saying goes, "If it's too good to be true it probably is." So $1800 is completely bogus and represents some sort of scam which you should definitely avoid; $2749 is suspect and you probably won't be able to buy it at that price without paying a lot of extra money for accessories or an extended warranty. The B&H price is believable and I bought an FX1 from them for less than that after the WEVA Expo.
You may find these evaluations of B&H and Priceritephoto interesting: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1914.html http://www.resellerratings.com/seller8613.html Note the big discrepancy in user opinions between these two companies. If you call a place which offers a really good price and get a funny feeling while talking to them, hang up the phone and call a more reputable merchant. You'll be glad you did in the long run. |
