(HDR-FX1)how many hours are you getting on your NP-F970? Sony Brand or Generic Brand?

i have a generic one and battery status shows around 330 minutes but when i get to about 150 minutes or so it dies out. so does the Sony branded NP-F970 do the same or do you think its the generic.

are there any good generics?

thanks

joel

I worked a wedding this past day Sunday and the battery made it through the whole day without need for a recharge. Filming was from 8-10am and then 12pm to 5pm. Lots of start and stop but I got about 4 hours of tape footage and at the end of the day the 970 still had juice. If you're looking to save with generics, you can instead try getting the 970 from amazon for about 50 bux of what sonystyle.com is selling them for.

Mine is Sony, and it litterally goes forever, days!

I film mostly RC events. (All day)

I'm not sure about hours, but I've been shooting showreel scenes for some actors I know and the 970 does a day of shooting without needing a recharge.

My expereince shows only about an hour difference between Sony and Generic Batteries. But mind you, sometimes the camera sees the Generic one as a Non - Info Lithium batteries and may give an error.
Still if you are hard on money go for a generic as, 3 generics cost 1 Sony.

I bought a Sony and an ASSIA generic labeled as a replacement for the Sony. There is practically no difference in time. The ASSIA was about 40% the cost of the Sony when they first came out. I'm very pleased. Go to Ebay and search for the name and 970 replacement.
