Moving Cam Issue

My FX-1 is almost 7 years old and has been used extensively for events. I am noticing distinct sideways noise lines when panning the camera quickly from side to side. Has anyone experienced this? The cam took a fall from 5 feet off of a monopod, being unsecurely fastened and the lens got moved internally.
I sent it to Sony who repaired it but ever since, I have experienced what seems to be "aliasing" in the image on playback. I had the cam repaired by Sony when it fell off a monopod from five feet, being unsecurely fastened and the lens was moved internally as a result. Also, I'm noticing a distinct sound when the zoom control is engaged. Anybody experiencing this and can you recommend a service center around Connecticut or New England? Maybe it's time for a new cam after all. Thanks.
