Teleconverter for FX1
Does anyone know of a Teleconverter for the FX1, other than the Century VS-16TC. It is very expensive.
Thanks John |

I use Canon C-8 Teleconverter 1.4X67mm with 67-72 stepdown ring, it works good for me. You can get it very cheap over the net(on ebay for example).

Looked at B&H's site and couldn't find the C-8- might you have a link/url?

I think the best option for us FX1 users are to buy a 72-58mm step-down ring and opt for Sony's HG (high grade) 1.7x 58mm tele lens. I used it with a GL2 and it was outstanding. Of course we'll get allot of vignetting unless almost at full zoom- but the way I look at it- that's the range i'd likely want to use it at. $249 at B&H....it's a heavy little beast but excellent on the GL2.
If anyone beats me to it and gets one- let us know how well it works with the FX1/Z1 series cams. |
