FX1 Screens Don't Show Vignetting?
I noticed on both the large flip out monitor and the rear eyepiece monitor on the FX1 that if you have something blocking the corner of the shot, or slight vignetting, it shows on the footage but not on the onboard monitors.
Is there a way to correct that? I have ruined soooo many shots when the corner of something was in the way in the final footage but not showing in either monitor.

Re: FX1 Screens Don't Show Vignetting?
Since it was deemed a consumer cam, Sony didn't feel it necessary to have a screen that showed 100 % of the image. On occasion, I have just had to resort to cropping in post to clean up the issue.

It used to be a non issue since crt tvs couldn't display the entire image. I guess you could connect a small display to the rca out. I think that would show everything.

Re: FX1 Screens Don't Show Vignetting?
The Z1 does have the option to see the full image on it's side-screen, but it's a reduced size image (!) so I gave up on it and accepted the horrible overscan. The FX1 only has the overscan. Newer Sony cams (eg NX5) don't overscan thank goodness.
